前期Diploma課程では日本語教育の理論と実際について実践的なカリキュラムが組まれ、また後期MA（修士）課程においては臨床研究をもとに、よりアカデミックな研究ができるように構成されています。それぞれ1年間で修了し、修了証書（Postgraduate DiplomaあるいはMA）が授与されます。Diplo-MA課程は、これらの二つの課程を連続させた日本語教育学研究に関する専門課程です。Diplo-MA課程は前期と後期で構成され、前期では英語力を養成するためのAcademic English （AE）やIELTS（International English Language Testing System）のカリキュラムも組み込まれています。

Diplo-MA課程を所定の成績で修了すると、英国国際教育研究所／London College of Education, Graduate School（LCE-GS）および英国グリニッジ大学よりPostgraduate DiplomaとMA（Master of Arts. 修士号）の二つの学位が授与される。
2年間で、専門性の高い教授知識と教授技術、さらに、日本語教育に関する臨床研究を通して高度な研究力を習得することができる。
Diplo-MA課程前期には、後期MA（修士）課程への進学がよりスムーズなものとなるよう以下のようなMA課程への進学準備が含まれる。

・ IELTS試験対策も含めたAcademic English Skillsの養成
・後期MA（修士）課程での学習の備え、研究方法や論文作成等の基礎的学習
・後期MA（修士）課程の専攻研究に関する参考文献等の一部読破
・その他
